In the first half of the movie, at one point Quaid decides to go to a bank and check out a bank box with is his. The bank box contains money and passports, a bit like in the Bourne Identity.
Anyway, in this movie of the future, in some of the bills of money, it seemed as if they used a likeness of Obama. Is that right? Or, was it someone else?
The movie is on cable this evening, on election night . . .
I never noticed the money, why would Obama be on British or Australian money.

It was clear that the UFB was a continuation of the USA in Western Europe in the land of an ancient ally, being headquartered on the island of Britain it makes sense to have the word Britain in the title of the nation instead of something like Zimbabwe. No?

What I think it's you who watched the wrong movie the US wasn't mentioned at all it was clearly britain hence UFB and USA. The US was destroyed in the world war leaving britain and Australia the only habitable countries.
By your logic the USA should have britain in the name as it was a former British colony. If the US took over the UK and part of mainland Europe they wouldn't call it United federation of Britain.
They would because Britain is a geographical location, just like America, hence why it isn't the Unified Federation of Zimbabwe.

You're dumb, it was quite obviously Britain, in the car chase scene when Coin Farrell and Jessica Biel crash, you can quite clearly see London buses, red telephone boxes and BIG BEN.
shareI saw this thread before watching the movie again and was looking for it. Sure enough .... big O's face is on what looks like the band that hold a stack of bills together. The stack of bills next to it has another guys likeness on it. Probably some other political figure from our present.

shareI loved this part seeing Obama on the money, it was so fun and creative, shame the rest of the movie sucked, that one scene and when the main character walks through the town were so awesome I really wanted to like this crapfest. Those 2 scenes should get an oscar to show how horrible the rest of the movie was especially the casting of the main characters.
