Why we need more R-rated movies

This is perhaps the best article I've ever read on the topic of film ratings, highly recommended:

Still valid and still highly recommended.

I do hate that most action movies today are pg 13. seems like Hollywood does not let a badass be a badass anymore

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today

It's mostly gutless kiddie fare we get these days. I was happy to see Point Break fail as miserably as all the other PG-13 versions of those fun action classics from the eighties and nineties.

I agree with both of you guys, I too am sick of the gutless kiddie fare, it's *beep* old and annoying, and have you guys seen the raid 1 and 2 and yakuza apocalypse?, if you haven't, i HIGHLY recommend those to you guys, they have the most insane action scenes you'll ever see, and they along with several other R Rated action thrillers including the badass upcoming triple 9 give the gutless kiddie fare the big fat middle finger and says *beep* YOU, also, the raid 1 and 2 and yakuza apocalypse are foreign movies which means they REALLY pack the blood and gore and the wow factor is higher

No, what we need is to fix PG13. When PG13 was created it was intentionally so there would be movies with R-rated content but would not necessarely require adult audience. Nowadays however PG13 means "must be suitable for oversensitive children" leaving R the only rating for quality movies.

This was much better I'm really glad they used a robot to get its arm chopped off on the elevator insted of a human like the original and there was no "see yu atta paddy riktur" line. /End sarcasm
