How many aggressively bad movies can DC release before you give up?

Man of Steel was ok ... depending on whether you agreed with some of the script choices, like nihilist Pa Kent and neck-snapping Superman. It was a coherent film.

Batman vs Superman and Suicide Squad were barely complete films (with cool trailers) and DC / Warner should be embarrassed that they released them in a cinemas and robbed loyal fans of money.

At what point will you, as a comic book fan or a cinema lover, give up paying to watch these films if they continue to be this awful?

Due to the lack of moderators, trolls can ruin the IMDB message boards. Don't feed them.

I've been disatisfied with superhero movies for a long time and officially gave up on them with XMen Apocalypse, I know it's not a dc movie but that's when I said enough of this.

What they are doing is truly shameful to be honest.

Why would they stop?

They profit ted on both movies duhhhh

But the question the OP asked wasn't when will they stop making bad films, it was when will you stop going to them if they continue to make bad ones.

It's really tough to say. Now I'll probably wait for word of mouth on films like Wonder Woman and if there are Aqua Man and Flash solo films. I'd probably go see any live action Batman film on opening weekend regardless of what critics say. It's depressing that I'm not as excited for any of these films as I would've been 7 months ago.

I have t seen BvS nor will i see suicide squad.

I'll see the extended cuts.

Screw WB.

reply

This WB madness should be featured on the next X-Files spin off. What's causing fans to defend the WB???

reply

Yeah, shelling out for the extended cuts, THAT'LL show WB!

That's what is baffling to me. Added support to an already bad movie sends an awful message. Plus, you'd have to pay ME to sit through and even longer version of pure crap. It's a double lose that some fans blindly ran toward.

who's ted ?

The flat-brimmed baseball cap is the modern-day dunce cap.

reply

As long as it brings in the dough, they'll never stop.

dc movies seems to get worse every release.

i agree that mos was bad, but at least it was coherent.

bvs was just a mashup of incomplete stories.

ss was just a bunch of trailers and music videos stitched together.

By the time Aquaman hits they'll have to pay US to sit through it and not the other way around.

Why are people not answering the question. He's not asking how many bad movies until WB stops, he's asking how many movies till you do. Honestly, I think if Wonder Woman sucks, I will give up on this franchise indefinitely.

reply

Same here. I'll give WW a shot. After that, I'm out.

reply

When is Kevin Tsujihara going to get fired, that is the question?

I have my suspicions this guy even got the Kitana actress hired for the role because she's Japanese-American. It's like her first role ever in a movie or TV!!!! WTF?

reply

Kevin Tsujihara is a putz and here comes another extended edition to try and milk the fans. Hey Kevin, why not try and release a good film the first time around?

reply

If Wonder Woman sucks, I'll skip all DC movies in cinema until a solo Batman film is made.

reply

With Ben Affleck as the lead, you may as well skip that one too.

reply

Ben Affleck was the best part of BvS. I think it's safe to say the solo Batman film is gonna be good with him directing and starring.

reply

It's not safe to say at all. Affleck has been in three AWFUL movies in a row. Yes, he didn't direct them but it still says a lot about his choices.

reply

Any more bad DC garbage coming out in the next two weeks? It's all the time we have left!!!!

reply

Just reached that point myself.
