This Film is Comedic Gold

I have no idea how this became one of the less popular Ferrel movies, because it is absolutely genius. Excellent cast, writing, directing, pacing, and ongoing jokes: the Prius, TLC references, everyone hates Bob, the Captain's crazy son, very attractive women that are inexplicably attracted to Alan, etc.

Aside from the excellent cast ad-libbing, this is a true testament to how excellent of a writer and director Adam McKay can be...and a great preview for his talents later noticed in The Big Short.

I'll admit, the first time I watched it, I didn't think it was all that funny. But I just watched part of it again yesterday (and watching more of it today), and I can't believe how funny it is. I was the same way with Old School though. First time I saw it, I thought it was just okay. Then after a second viewing, I absolutely love it!

It's nice to see Will Ferrell in a slightly more reserved role than some of his other ridiculous characters. The back and forth between him and Wahlberg is excellent. Tons of hilarious one liners as well.

As far as Will Ferrell movies go, this is near the top of the list.

I SO agree! Definitely one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I crack up laughing every time I see it! Such great writing and cast, the whole nine.

This gets funnier the more you watch it like stepbrothers and old school.
