Not that bad...

I knew what I was getting into when I hit play. Sure things are green screened as poorly as the local news and often unnecessarily, like the diner, but I'm ok with that. Its better than a lot of "art house" flicks that try too hard to be deep. It's the new age version of a low budget outer space movie from the eighties. I'd watch this over The Pianist any day. Sure it has bad acting, old plot, bad FX but I payed pennies on the dollar to watch it on Netflix, I have paid eight bucks to watch theatrical releases that shared the same flaws.

Yes, I totally agree with you, I just started watching this on Netflix,
and I knew it was going to be something I was going to like when 2 things
had happened, first thing: Dewey's theme from scream 2, I love that music,
it started when they first showed deacon and that soccer ball, I know it's not
exact the same, but it was close enough.
second thing was the deacon guy, not only was he a badass an took out the
first henchmen guy easily, but he has the blond lead girl that you can tell
still has real feelings for him, she would do anything for him, even though
he has been away for 10 years and she just now seen him again, I like how they
wrote that in, it is very realistic, I have seen this passion in real people
that I know. and the people seem very real and like they really have known
each other for a long time. I really think the acting was pretty good,
and was the movies strong point, IMHO
