...how Bush is a homophobe, a racist, or an idiot.
And yet, he is none of those things. Jokes are only funny if there is some truth in it. Bush doesn't call people "f*gs" or "n*****s" (although I do concede to some idiotic tendencies). He speaks Spanish and picked his cabinet by their competency, not their skin color.
This was a Hollywood-left caricature of what they wish Bush was. His father, Bush 41, was a decent man who saw combat and served his country as head of the CIA and the POTUS. His mother is a sweet and decent woman, strong enough to raise 5 children and keep her family together despite the demands of her husband's service. No mention of Laura Bush, there was nothing to make fun of.
Imagine a similar stage show depicting Clinton getting bl*wn while on the telephone, cheating on Hillary, being impeached and disbarred, explaining what the meaning of "is" is...can you imagine?
Nah, me neither.;-) Anyway, I didn't laugh once at this thin show. Will Ferrell was great in "Old School" and "Stepbrothers", though.
