Something thats even trippier then that idea is what if our universe is nothing more then just a computer simulation in a computer from a far more advance race of beings then us, or from humans far in the future. In just a few decades from now we could have computers that are advanced enough to completely simulate our universe inside of it, so if you were in that simulation how would you ever know it.
