I like it

Just that... I liked it, had fun watching it, and it kind of took me back to those movies that I use to watch when I was s kid 20 years ago. Who's with me?

Gotta love Little Shop Of Horror!

Great movie, I agree

I agree, it's not a masterpiece, but I thought it was entertaining.

Totally agree. I have seen posts here that say things like, "it has this cheesy keyboard soundtrack like Beverly Hills Cop...", which clearly shows that the person has no clue that this film was an homage to all those old films Kevin's dad used to take him to back in the day. I mean, Tracy even says "homage" and mispronounces it so it should be apparent that that is exactly what is meant. I guess some people just don't get it even if you beat them over the head with it.

As for me, my only gripe with the whole movie is that the powers-that-be "copped out" and changed the name from "A Couple Of Dicks" - that was cowardly, but I understand that studios can be that way.

Peace!

Agree also. I wasn't expecting much but it ended up making me laugh, entertaining me and reminding me of the older buddy cop movies.

People need to lighten up and stop whining over everything, before people would go to movies and enjoy them for what they were but nowadays everyone has to be a critic and pick at everything. Even the message boards for really good movies get more hate than anything.

If this movie had come out in the 80's it would be a well liked film because it seems like everyone here wears nostalgia glasses. Popular 80's movies like Karate Kid, Predator, Commando, the Rocky and Rambo sequels would have a huge amount of bashing if they were released in today's times.

Totally agree with Scabab and others above on all points. Watching the movie now for the 4th time and still laughing my head off. I watch films to enjoy myself not get my panties in a bunch cause life is too short for wasting on that.

The problem is, you wouldn't find it funny if you were a member of a general audience who is not into movies as much and has no idea about Smith's films and/or his backstory.
This movie is pretty self-indulgent, full of clichés, and does not, in any way, take itself seriously. I'd even say that at times, it borders light satire.

I avoided it for years because I was already disappointed enough in Smith and I wanted to keep at least a modicum respect for him (as I had when I was younger), but I was switching through channels yesterday and ended up watching it, with my mum. To my surprise, I found it quite fun, despite all the cheesiness and predictability.

So yeah, I liked it. It wasn't a life-changing experience but it was a fun thing to do while baking biscuits and making dinner. :D
