In my personal opinion the best DC animated movie is, Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm and Green Lantern: First Flight is the second best. It had a great short origin story and all the action and fantasy a DC movie should have. I hope the theatrical version next year will be equally or better made, like this.

All of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies from Superman/Doomsday to the present have been rated PG-13 -- including the new one Batman: Under the Red Hood which has been getting the best reviews that I've seen since Mask of the Phantasm. Hell, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (Uncut) was PG-13. What's your beef?
It's just not so much teen and cheesy. There is some well motivated violence and sense of humor is also not "teenish".
shareWell I wrote this post before "Batman - Under the Red Hood" so I didn't have an opinion on that. Now I agree with you. Under the red Hood is the second best. I consider "Batman Beyond - Return of the Joker" to be on top 5 as well as "Superman/Batman - Apocalypse"

If I had to pick a third, it'd be the Justice League Frontier movie or the first Batman/Superman movie.
Batman is the only DC character done right so far, both in animation and live action.
Its definitily not the second best.Batman Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Under the Red Hood and Batman Return of the Joker are vastly superior.

Has anyone else forgotten Batman Gotham Knight...While it was a little different because of all the stories, it was such a different way that DC presented Batman. I really enjoyed that one.

but "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 & 2" are now on top ! Even arguably better than Nolan's movies.
I'd say "Year One" is the second best animated movie.
Well, they were good, but i wouldn't put them on the top. The Flashpoint Paradox earned a spot high up there as well
