The father/daughter relationship in the wrestler vs the whale

Which did you like better? The wrestler for me. I couldn’t stand the daughter in the whale from the Jump, whereas in the wrestler I empathized with the daughter. The daughter in the wrestler at least had an open mind to reconciling with her dad and wasn’t intentionally trying to hurt him until he fucked up for the last time
