Nono ending (SPOILER)

Saw him on the train going to the extermination camp where all the kids were going. But he was alive and found in a train station. How did he escape? That part confuses me since his brother would have never let him go.

It says he fell off the train at some point. That's probably how they were separated.

I think it’s irrelevant how Nono got out of the train…
In the real life, of the 3.000 people that were at the Vélodrome D'Hiver, only 25 adults survived…
Nono and the other kid (don’t remember his name) survived because that’s what movies do, they give us hope and make us believe that something better happened to those (two) children.
It’s heartbreaking.

in fact the other kid who's name i didn't remember is Joseph Weismann and he did survived. But he was the only one.

No, the girl that escaped earlier, and her brother (was he in the movie?), survived as well. That's 3 people :/
