Who attacked Christina?

Never watched show when it originally aired so now getting updated via the reruns. Must have missed a lot of episodes (not sure how) but last one I saw was introducing Nick to show and now see where Christina is pregnant and attacked.

1. As subject asked - was it ever mentioned to whom the attacker was and why he/she did it?
2. Was she pregnant by Nick or Tom (seeing in episode that both are trying to comfort her)?
3. Know show was eventually cancelled so wondering if it ended showing her with Nick or Tom?

In season 3 it was recalled the attacker was an abusive husband of one of Christina's patients. Christina encouraged the wife to leave and the husband retaliated and attacked her.
