Was season 4 going to resolve the cliffhanger?

ive watched the show about 3 times now and still cant believe how it ended. I get it that if its a series finale that something like that meeds to happen . But wow, come on i was liking christina and tom together till this nick guy came along.. The nick guy ruins it .. Bleh! There were also so many other cliffhangerS. Like the ring nick leaves her when shes recovering from the attack to which she hides and then in the last season they find it hung on a string or something on the wall with some writing behind it which also leads to tom seeing a man that follows him into an elevator with the same ring ( to whom which christina sees in the hallway in season 3). If there would have been another would they have figured out whats up with that guy( of course , clearly when they have something to do with her attack) and of course theres the beginning with friendship again for Christina and tom.. How that pans out , and on dr. Marshalls niece she gets to parent and of course I suppose on who woulda actually killed or tried killing nick( heh not that id care bout that)??? Couldve been tom as they did see eachother as the one left and other was coming.. OR it couldve been the red ring guy(s) or someone else that didnt care for him... Who can really say but perhaps the creators?! Its sad that it ended when it did, which wouldve been cool but hey who knows ...maybe a movie could be s possibility. And hey , it would t even have start off from where it left off .. It could be like a few years later or something and go through explanations of how it happened .. What happened, who lived etc etc..
If it was possible vetonoca mars.. Then hey, why not this one?!

I think, I only really liked the first two seasons. But, maybe still would've liked to continue.

At least, there is The Night Shift. 😂
