Looks awesome, but WHY??? WHY???

WHY CG GORE???? WHHHHYYYYYYYYY???

reply

There is some non-CGI gore. But the CGI blood fits in well with the other CGI effects (i.e. not brilliant but who cares its funny). Do not think that this movie is in the same genre as, say, Tokyo Gore Police.

Yes and I call these films splatter fests. Thats a new term I invented it consider it copyrighted. Splatter fest films are Japanese movies with tons of spraying blood, dismemberment and gore. They include body mutilation or augmentation and these films come from Japan

CGI splatter test. Didn't bother me too much as everything was over the top cartoony.

Chaos reigns

In australia JB Hi Fi released boxsets dubbed "J-Splatter" including these films, so i think your term is right on point

Yeah, this was a big disappointment. Had the effects work been more prosthetic based I think it would of been funnier and more able to be taken as a worthwhile piece.
I found myself wondering why I was watching a film that looked like someone had made a home movie and put it on Youtube.
Where was the $250,000 spent?

reply

CG blood is $0.25 a gallon. They used one million gallons.

Sincerely, yahmez the mad.
