Redford's wig?

I found it distracting watching Robert Redford for several reasons. The first was that he was trying to convey a younger father with an 11 year old daughter. We all know Redford is pushing 80. That's where the film lost credibility for me. I also found his hair completely distracting. Not just that it's coloured, but I have to wonder if it is a wig because there is TOO MUCH hair for a man of his age. Way too much. I realise that not all men go bald, but hair thins out as we get older. Shouldn't Redford stop pretending he is still in his mid 30s (when he was a hottie) ??? I want to have a talk with his wig maker as he is overdoing the horse hair.

If you check out Redford's latest movie, All is Lost, you'll see Redford still has a pretty full head
of disheveled hair blowing in the wind.
He may have had a wig in The Company You Keep
to get a certain look but he definitely still has quite a bit of hair for real.
His acting in All is Lost is the best I've ever seen.

several thoughts come to mind:

there are plenty of 70 something men in the world with 11 year old daughters... young women seek out older men and vice versa for obvious reasons, it's been going on for millennia.

I don't think he is trying to portray 30 something men at all, he certainly didn't in this film, or in an Unfinished Life, or in Lions for Lambs, etc

and in general, who gives a shxt?

He looks fantastic for his age wig or not and I hope I look half as good as he does when I get to 60, completely forget about 79. The dood is JOGGING at 79 and if it is a wig, whatever, he still looks great.

Maybe your mum could borrow his wig sometime? I hear he lends it out.

I'll bet you 100 pounds it"s not a wig... just a gut...

and I'll pay you another 100 pounds to tell why you hate him so much that you have to get on here and put up such an effort to humiliate him

I worked on one of Bob Redfords films a few years back, and I never thought his hair to be fake. Bunny Parker was his hair dresser back then, but not sure if she is anymore. If it is fake she's the best hairdresser of all time.

It may be a piece, nowhere more evident than in Winter Soldier, but for Pete's sake, stop with the color!!!! He would look so much better letting it go gray.

If we all liked the same movie, there'd only be one movie!

I think that both Robert Redford and Julie Christie were far to old for the parts that they play in this film. Nick Nolte as well

^I think they should both be shunted off to a nursing home toute suite.

While I watch this film, I simply pretend that Isabel is an orphan and Redford is playing her grandfather.
