So was Alice meant to be the magic man all along? The ending seemed rather arbitrary like the writers thought of it at the last minute. Which is fairly obvious because the show had an untimely cancellation, but could anyone answer this question for me?

Yeah, she was meant to be all along, the eight episodes were done before the first one had even aired, even if the show had not been canceled, season 1 would have been a mere eight episodes long.

No. Alice is not the Magic Man.Not per say. The first season was slated to be 12 episodes. My friend is friends with some of the actors on the show and was script girl/PA there. She and one of the main actors in the show are writting a book together that ties up all the lose ends. Alice is not the Magic Man, technically
