Why fans don't want to watch 'Lights Out'

Because its boring and not good.......... bad ratings mystery solved. They can try whatever last ditch marketing campaign or publicity stunt they want. All the interviews about boxing training and how the lead is a breakthrough actor (((he's been around for 20+ years and has never caught anyones attention))) are equally boring.. You viewers aren't biting F/X, it's insulting to our intelligence. F/X you should have understood before you aired this show that a serialized watered down boxing drama was going to have a very short lived appeal or none at all as the case is. If you want your regular viewers (((like me and my wife))) to still turn on your network, you better come up with something good that is watchable. I'm still looking to watch JUSTIFIED, but its not looking good for my long term viewership. A brand has to be consistent to be respected like HBO or SHOWTIME.

Yawn. This show is great. And if you're really this concerned, I really think you need to get off the couch and go take a jog.

reply

its obvious you just joined imdb a few days ago just to rant about Lights Out.

you need to consider that the time you are wasteing here is time you could be spending watching really good shows like dancing with the stars, gossip girl, and dog the bounty hunter. there is also the cartoon chanel, check it out when you get bored with adult entertainment.

reply

No, it's clearly someone from HBO or Showtime. Industry people are on these boards to try and talk crap about the competition, to make sure a show is brought down.

reply

Justified is realy an original show too. Wow, a bounty hunter show. Man, there aren't like a million of those.

Sheild was pretty original too. A cop show. Again, not like a million of those.

How many family shows that revolve around boxing have there been exactly?

I'd say if anything, it's too orginal to viewers that want mindless entertainment and s hit they are familar with. And most viewers are realy into original though provoking shows, that's why s hit like Teenage Mom pulls in the ratings.

And HBO realy has respectable shows. That's why their top rated show right now is total s hit that is True Blood

reply

True Blood is not total $h!t, Season 3 was horrible unfocused, but Season 2 was a pretty well done commentary on Organised Religion.

True Blood is total s hit.

The head of FX was right, if Lights Out was a metrosexual vampire, it'd been a hit.

reply

Your an Idiot homophobe.

If anything is insulting to out intelligence, its you. All your post are rants against LO and you only joined after the first show aired. Either you are plant for another network or you are a bitter actor that tried out and didn't get the part.

Ok so in your words, what is a great Boxing drama? What holds your attention?

And HBO and Showtime have had their share of stinkers. Remember John from Cincinnati, Total Recall: The Series, Mind of a Married Man, Universial Soldiers or the programing genius that was Taxicab Confession?

Until you can write, produce, direct, and star in a better show, SHUT THE FUDGE UP!!!

reply

Truebador 1 and all of his posts are garbage. Why are you so weirded out about a show you profess to hate so much? Go watch 2 and a Half Men or something. I think this show is great and the story lines have been good. Much better than anything on network TV. Of course, being on FX it will probably get cancelled like everything else, but stop your crying already!

Although he was right about the wife. I didn't notice till he pointed it out that the wife's accent keeps changing. Annoying but other than that, a great series and worth watching.

I can't stand that so many from Great Britain tries to pass off a crappy "American" accent. Do they think they're fooling us? Or do they just not hear the difference? The equivalent for awful British accents would be something like Keanu Reeves in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Mostly, the British "R" is softened so there is a conscious effort to over pronounce the letter. Sam Worrrrrrrrthington immediately comes to mind. And Gerrrrrrrrrrrrrarrrrrrrrd Butler is just the Worst ever!!!

On the other hand, there are a lot who do it brilliantly and you'd never guess that they were British. Cristian Bale was really good at one point. When he broke through in America, a lot of people didn't realize he was British. Hugh Laurie, Alfred Molina, Idris Elba, etc. A lot of Australians a flawless as well, such as Ryan Kwanten from True Blood and Simon Baker from The Mentalist. Though Hugh Jackman is also awful (i.e. Swordfish "...You can take the girrrl out of the trrrailerrr parrrk.....").

Anyway, Catherine McCormack's is not good. I would be willing to work with her though. ;)

The guy speaks the truth when it comes to the ratings of Lights Out. They have been horrible and its likely the show will soon be canceled.

Truebador is the ultimate wimp. He joined only after the show started and only talked about LO. Typical internet coward. Runs his mouth but never answers any questions. Not surprised that we haven’t heard any of his brilliance in almost two months

You going to do something or just stand there and bleed?
