You beat me to the punch.

Haha clever. I must say I'm sad. I knew it was coming but I really like this show. I find myself looking more and more forward to it each week, I don't care what other people think. It's unfortunate that it couldn't find an audience

It did find an audience, but the audience wasn't large enough, and honestly--I don't know if I'd have watched a second season. I'm happy to get a story with a beginning, middle, and end, for once. Decent characters, but was there really five years worth of story in them? I don't think so.

reply

Good. I actually somewhat enjoyed it, but I'm just happy that the one douchebag who called everyone who didn't watch this show stupid lost his favorite show.

reply

A perfectly valid reason.

reply

So that's it. We never get to see the rematch. What a waste of time.

reply

No, we will; they're airing the last two, and then that's it.

Obvious it was coming, but it still stings.

reply

I don't see why. We get a complete story. It should have been a miniseries to begin with.

This is really bad. At least with Terriers, they waited a couple of weeks after the season aired before canning it. My first fear was that they were pulling the last 2 episodes and were gonna make us buy the DVD or something. I think between this and Terriers, FX is going to rethink their programming strategy in order to appeal to the dumbed-down viewing masses who weren't watching these shows, and the results aren't going to be pleasant for those of us who enjoyed those shows.

To those of you who are saying that a 2nd season was pointless, and that we should enjoy LO as a very good miniseries, I can see the merit in your argument. However, networks aren't in the business of airing low-rated miniseries'. Quality programs like this are facing extinction, or at least, their odds of getting greenlit by networks are declining pretty substantially.

It was bound to happen but it still makes me sad. I wanted to see a second season only to see the aftermath of the rematch.

reply

just so long as we see the rematch, i'll be happy. it'll be a complete story then, which is fine with me. i wasn't sure how they were going to do further seasons after the rematch anyways.

reply

If he loses the rematch, it will be a bad ending
I really hope for a "Yo Adrien, I did it" type of ending, just to end it good.

reply

I like the show but I have no problem with it being canceled. I never thought of it as a show that can have more than one season. I just look at it as one of those short great animes like Samurai Champloo. It has a beginning, a middle, and then an end.

reply

I agree. It really should been a mini-series. I enjoyed it throughly but time it went away. Hopefully Holt gets another big gig. He has really carried the show overall.
