In English

I have been very interested in the Aghori for some years now, just personal curiosity, and I came across the trailer/music video for "Om Siva Om" for this movie rather accidentally on youtube, while sifting through various videos of real Aghori. The movie looked visually amazing & interesting; I became enrapt by it and began looking, in earnest, to find the DVD of it for sale somewhere online. To no avail. I couldn't find it for sale at all, let alone with English subtitles and in a region for my area (U.S.). I'm sorry to say I had to resort to searching for a torrent of it, and I was actually surprised to find an active torrent that actually came with English subtitle files! Normally I would have paid to own it, but oh well.

I have no idea who translated the dialogue into English, or how faithful/literal it is. It seems pretty good to me, and it matches up with what I'd read about the plot online. I've watched the movie 3x now and it seems like each time I realize something different. There are so many different commentaries about religion, spiritual beliefs, social order, etc. going on at once that it's really hard to define what kind of movie this really is. I wish I could find more about it online, and if anyone has seen it, it'd be great to have someone to talk to about it. I'm not even going to pretend I know hardly anything about Indian culture, but I do find it fascinating, and it's very interesting to me to learn about the Sadhus.

Just as a heads-up, the tolly.com subtitling (to english) SUCKS. It's not just bad, there are big chunks of lots of dialogue with absolutely NO sutbtitling whatsoever. Search for some other files done by someone else!
