Significance of 23:23

I just rented this movie to downstream on my iMac....it was very good, but hard for me to understand. I read some reviews and they said the 23:23 would be understood later in the film. But, I don't get it.

Guido explains to Sofia that it's a game he (and some friends, I think) used to play. Whenever someone noticed that it was a "double hour" (i.e. 23:23, or 19.19, 08:08 etc.) they would make a wish.

There are actually 3 double hours in the movie;

23:23 - After their speed date.

14:14 - Just before Sofia sees Guido show up on a security camera in the hotel.

20:20 - The time of Sofia's flight to Buenos Aires.

My husband pointed out that, interestingly, both the title of the film (Double Hour) and the double time on the clocks could be another way of saying "two time"- as in- she was with the other guy the whole time she was with Guido, hence the answer to the mystery! :)
