planning to kill Danny all along? He said that the hole wasn't for the money, but rather for Danny. However, he may have changed his plans after he learned of Danny's plan to double cross him. After all he did love him.

He honestly seemed like the kind of guy to have a backup plan since he wouldn't have had time to plan this if it wasn't already in play
