The very important and controversial issue of Sam's shirts!!

We all know that Sam has been wearing the same style of shirt for 8 seasons, well it's high time that he changed it up.

For one, the style is dated.

Two, Callen is supposed to have less belongings than Sam, yet he's been shown to have more clothes. So on a slightly more serious note, Sam having only one style of top is inconsistent with character development. It also makes him more memorable, and for a guy who changes his route to work every day, this is not good.

In S1 Sam did mix it up a bit more, but since S2 he's pretty much only worn different colours of that tight top. I say the NCIS:LA wardrobe team should try something different. I also envisage a scene with Callen teasing Sam about only having the one type of shirt. lol

I always thought Callen just picked up his shirts from the NCIS wardrobe dept. lol

reply

That's what I thought as well!

Can't remember episode - Sam told Callen he loves him like a brother but they don't have anything in common. He said Callen doesn't know anything about cars, music and clearly nothing about clothes. Callen replied "I don't know about clothes"? I would have been even better if he had mentioned Sam's only shirt in different colours.
I don't consider clothes 'belongings' when it comes to Callen. He could have a few closest full of those beautiful blue shirts and jeans but not much else in his home. Well except for the dining room set that he said he was going to sell.

I made a post awhile back about Sam's shirts. He probably wants to show off his "curves"? Lol who knows. However it's obvious that besides a few of us, no one gives a crap.

I agree, the perpetual parade of henleys is pretty monotonous. I agree that it probably began so that LL Cooll J could show off his "guns." Why he still wears them, though, all these years later.... 

Seriously, even though I like wearing t-shirts and jeans, doesn't mean I always wear only t-shirts and jeans.

Sam is like a cartoon character.

I think the whole show is a cartoon. It's bright and colorful enough to lure me into watching, but it's all flash and gunfire without much genuine storytelling behind it.
