Things AD Learned This Week (1/15) on Homeland Security

RIP Miguel Ferrer. You were a great actor sir and will be missed by me on this show. At least Deeks and the Challenger are still here. Miguel was a class act all around, and he will be missed by the NCIS: LA family and the viewers. At least Callen, Sam, Hetty, Kensi, Eric, and Nell are still around—and maybe even Anna will join them.

When the LAPD enters and points guns at you, don't tell them you are not only a federal agent, but a deputy director of a federal law enforcement agency. Of course, if you have been heavily drugged that might make it difficult for you to be coherent and immediately state your name, rank, and agency.

The LAPD always makes high profile arrests within minutes of arriving at crime scenes. Considering they’d received a “tip” and found a suspect and a victim, they obviously took him into custody. After all, that’s their job.

APD departing... I doubt it. One never knows what’s up with Hetty. One can always hope that if anyone’s departing, it’ll be DYM.

PEBG has almost no carbon footprint. He certainly doesn't waste any electricity on a razor. DYM obviously doesn’t even know what a razor is—or a shower. Plus, he undoubtedly generates loads of trash.

Looks like NCIS is not the only agency that doesn't bother with search warrants. It’s hard to believe they need a search warrant when they find a dead body on someone’s property, but whatever. Besides, the DEA asked politely, and Sam opened the trunk voluntarily.

PEBG has really good ears, he knew about the corpse and the drugs. Callen has really good EYES, too, since he was looking at the car.

Looks like NCIS is not the only agency that doesn't bother with the right to counsel. Since we only saw about 1 minute of the interviews—except with DYM—we don’t know if they asked for counsel. DYM lived up to his name, though. After all, he IS a lawyer and a pretty incompetent one. Who would have guessed?

Even under arrest Deeks is still a riot (Kensi and sister wife) The fact that DYM thinks every woman, even Whiting, wants to marry him is a riot, but a real riot would have been if the other cell occupants had actually been gang members. Now, that would have been fun!

In LA there are plenty of extra dead bodies, drugs, and explosives around for planting. Who knew that a city of more than 3 million+ would have John Does in the morgue, access to drugs, and explosives available—especially for the operations manager of a federal agency that fights crime? Shocking!

Aside from one semi-competent security guard, it's easy to roll a patient right out of a hospital. Since patients are always in danger of being kidnapped at any moment, all hospitals have staffs of hundreds of armed security guards. This must have been a very cheap hospital.

When the rest of the alphabet agencies have been used, it's obvious it's the CIA. Well, duh—if it’s the only agency left.
