My analys of the bullies

I think it was obvious that they, atleast some of them, felt bad deep inside. I think that it came up to the surface when they got there pizza's and got quiet. The problem with this kind of group (according to my own experience bcoz i've been a part of one) is that they always compete within the group who is the leader, or the toughest, which of course makes it impossible to show real emotions or regrets infront of each other. But i can promise you that when the lights goes out and they go to bed, atleast a few of them will be crying.
The second part is that I think it's often that they really don't have so many other things in common. It's the bad stuff they do, that keeps the group together. That's why they were beating up their friend. According to my experience, it's not so often childhood friends, a football crew or classmates that gets together like this, rather a group of boys (and sometimes girls) that feel lika outcasts in the society, that has been proven from school time and possibly in the family that nobody recognize them for anything positive they do. So what will they do to be recoqnized then? Yes, the will be bad!

It is quite like that indeed. Always competing and if you show emotions then you're seen as weak. They feel the need to be part of something, feel like they "fit" somewhere.
