GREAT indie film. One of the best I've seen in years.

I love movies about good people who never seem to have anything good happen to them. If that isn't real, I don't know what is.

Meris is one of the best leading characters I've seen in an indie film. She just rules, and Trudy is the perfect Rayanne to her Angela (My So-Called Life reference).

While I can fully understand why Mitch left Meris for Briann (Briann's ridiculously hot, I mean come on), he's also an idiot for throwing away someone as cool as Meris... but I guess it had to happen, because otherwise Meris might not have finally come alive (with Trudy's help).

I love all of Trudy's friends, too..... I need some female friends (or a girlfriend) like that. Edgy, f---ed up people are totally my people.

I totally love this movie, but... there definitely were some scenes that were wildly uncomfortable and/or inappropriate (the grocery store interaction between Meris and Briann, for one.... though that was completely righteous, I must say).... and "Bri-guy" in the bowling alley.... but, even with these uncomfortable scenes, it doesn't take anything away from the awesomeness of this film. If anything, all of those scenes just make it more memorable.

And I must make note of the admittedly awkward "breaking the fourth wall" scenes... lots of shots of Meris and Trudy looking directly at the camera, for basically no reason other than shock value/effect. Awkward, but so good.

Kudos to the writer/director James Westby of this completely re-watchable (and quotable) indie gem.

fave quotes from the film (all within a 15-minute span):

- "He's a nice guy, but he smells like barf."

- "I guess some people need to be tattled on..."

- "Well, maybe next paycheck... after..."

- "Total full on privacy... er, piracy..."
