Is it just me? I found this movie hilarious!

Or maybe I was just on something? I was laughing throughout the movie and the entire theatre was as well.

It's a comedy right? It should be rated on those terms; was it funny or not ?.. not anything else. I don't understand the hate.

I do wish though that Chris Rock had more to do in it. Kevin James was hilarious. Adam Sandler basically just wrote himself as being the man, he could've been funnier. David Spade was good, Schneider was good albeit a bit creepy.

The supporting characters were real good too, especially the black grandma.

The first 5 minutes when each character was being introduced was the best IMO, maybe the movie dropped off after that, who knows..

My family and I loved it! We laughed the entire time, as did the rest of the audience. People were even clapping once it hit the credits...and no i'm not joking. It was a lot of fun

It was just plain stupid and UNFUNNY!!!

I liked it too.

I think people expect comedies to be over the top, like The Hangover. Plus, I think this movie does better with an older crowd than a younger one.

There were things where you think "yeah, we did stupid stuff like that as kids too." I just don't think the younger crowd on here gets it.

Its not a film. Its a movie. Its not even that. Its basically sitting around watching 4 friends sit around and break chops on each other. Find 4 of your friends and tell me thats not what this was.

When you take 3 people who are generally vilified in the press (Schneider, Spade and Sandler) and put them in 1 movie no critics are going to like it. Sandler has never had a movie reviewed good why should people start now.

Good movie. I laughed and then laughed a litte more.

Not true...Punch Drunk Love was highly thought of by the critics. Best Sandler work by far...then again, it's a PTA movie and Happy Madison had no say in it...it was tailor made for his skill set as an actor and to his credit, he did do an admirable job. I thought this movie could've been a lot funnier if it actually appealed to GROWN UPS. The comedy was watered down to make it more family-friendly

Critics loved Spanglish.

Me and the rest of the family laughed beginning to end!
This is a movie to see to have a good time and get some laugh's in.
Most of the people who slaughtered the movie probably took it too seriously, disliked the actor's, or just went with a feeling of doubt.

I'm not saying that's everyone's reason to dislike the movie. But, going into the movie's with a negative feeling towards the movie could be a big reason you get the people who say "OMGG MOVIE=EPIC FAIL". You know the actors of the movie, You know their type of comedy, why go see the movie if you don't like the actors/comedy?

It was really funny. I just saw it with my wife, her daughter, and our grand-daughter. The age range in our family is 10 to 59 and each one of us thought it was a great summer comedy. We thought all five leads were excellent selections and there were great moments of comedy. My grand-daughter was asking me as we walked out of the theater to please buy the DVD just as soon as it comes out. And I plan to do that.
