Am I alone in thinking Jake Gyllenhaal turned this film down?
I mean, this script looks like it was written for his characterization of a naive moron with ambition. Tailor made in fact. So I deduced that he most likely turned it down due to the lack of substance within the script, and worthless attempt at "dumbing down" the audience so that it accepts this claptrap as a "fantasy" love story, while it is in fact, a retarded effort by stupid executives to create a franchise for morons with expendable income.
So they cast a relative unknown that most resembled the "style" of "acting" that Gyllenhaal would have brought to the table.
THAT, and he does NOT want to work with his Ex, Kirsten Dunst.
They don't get along, and will not likely be cast in anything together anytime soon.
anyone else think so?
