Not what I expected
I thought I could actually sit through this version of that boring story, and it was just as or probably more boring than the original one.
There's no saving Jane Austen's stories... only for very particular people.
Given that her stories have been in print for almost the entirety of the 200 years since they were published, it would appear that there are a whole lot of people disagree with you.
