I gave it a nine

Maybe because I love Jane Austen, maybe it's the sets and costumes, maybe it's the zombie twist, or is it the cast (hello Sam Riley, where have you been all my life)?

I realize not everyone will get it, but the current rating is way too low.

Me too, I really didn't expect to enjoy it as the plot is totally daft but I thought it was actually quite well done. Not a film to be taken seriously but fun all the same.
Sam Riley is easy on the eye too so that didn't hurt!

The plot is supposed to be daft. I loved. I saw it 3 times in the theater and now own the blu-ray.

Agreed. I thought it was great fun, and a vast improvement on the original. I detested having to study the book at school over 35 years ago; I would have much preferred a version that had swordfights and zombies in it. (And yes, I'm a woman.)
