hey that's the "subconscious mind" that knew every thing about karthik just like it knew that ashish guy had a wife and a 6 year old child in delhi but in real our karthik had no idea about them at all!

Let me try to give an explanation, which goes:

Karthik must have thought of ending his life before he went to sleep. He might have decided that next morning he would take the pills. This would been in a his subconscious mind before he went to sleep. So he might have recorded his message with this decision of his in mind.

A possible explanation. Far fetched, but believable.

Anyways, the movie was too good. Didn't know that it was going to turn into a suspense thriller. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

there is an explanation for that, before he tried to commit suicide, he was on his bed for many days, in that time he must have got some sleep, during which his subconscious kicked in, and recorded the message. He got lucky that he had set the 5am alarm, just when he was about to take the pills.

Who supposdely told Deepika Padukone's character her boyfriend was married? It was certainly not Karthik because she never once spoke with him about it, we only see her crying, knowing she found out! But how?

I guess it's not important, but they just decided to skip that part! LOL

Karthik himself might have left her a message on the table. You never know!

He might have told her over the phone. It's not difficult to alter the voice.

They actually showed this later, when the psychiatrist was talking to Shonali about how the subconscious mind works. They showed little flashbacks when Karthik was privy to bits of information that he wasn't really paying attention to but ended up processing in his subconscious mind.

-when he saw his boss having an affair
-when the sales clerk was telling him about the telephone's recording feature
-and, when he was sitting at his cubicle and overheard Ashish chatting to his wife in Delhi about their child

Her boyfriend told her that was married because Karthik was blackmailed him early in the elevator.
When he told her, she slapped several times. :-P

Karthik seemed to know alot of everything and everyone. My guess is because he was an observer rather than a doer so he paid attention to everything around him.

That's one thing that bothered me! I think people should mind their own business at times.. but whatever. Either way, it can be a good or bad thing, depending on how you use what you know. But Karthik was in others business for a reason, mostly to benefit himself.

There are many people around that are constantly indulge in voyeurism. It's rude and they should look at themselves before they judge others. I presume a majority of people just have the urge to hinder other's prosperity. If Karthik had no feeling for Shonali, then he might not have broke up her relationship with that guy. What do you think ?.

Her boyfriend himself might have just told her, off-screen. Whenever Karthik confronted him about it, he made it seem like he would tell Deepika's character if the boyfriend didn't. I always assumed that the boyfriend just told her and then the next shot we see is her angry reaction.

Unless I didn't read your post correctly, what exactly is the glitch?

It's very possible that his subconscious was planning for him to take the pills at 5 a.m. So maybe his other personality knew what he would do so left a message.

There might be a mistake in my reasoning, I'm not sure. But I didn't really notice this as a mistake.
