Saddest Death Ever ***SPOILER ALERT***

Yes, I know: "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword", yada, yada, yada...
Besides the fact that he WAS quite the scumbag, Sang-Hoon's death was the saddest I have ever seen in movie history. While the violent beating that killed him was quite brutal, the lingering moments afterwards were absolutely heart-wrenching! My girlfriend and I both teared up. Wow! What an amazing film!!

By the way, to any Korean speakers out there: what were Man-Sik and Sang-Hoon's sister yelling when they saw his body at the hospital? The subtitles did not show anything during that sequence. Thanks.

Right there with you, one of the saddest deaths I seen in movies, the way he dies it's more sad than his death itself.

Saddest death still goes to Memories of Matsuko imho.

Haven't seen the film, so can't give opinion. I'll be back after I watch Memories of Matsuko.

I hope you enjoy it!

The deaths in Hotaru no haka (1988) for me.

I agree. Graveyard Of The Fireflies was truly gut wrenching and sad...
