I've asked this in other Korean movie forums..

but have yet to get an answer. In the subtitles, Koreans seem to call each other "bastard" constantly. It it a direct translation? Do Koreans call each other "bastards" all the time or is it something else?

I don't love her.. She kicked me in the face!!

I'm not a Korean but I have a very simple answer for your question. It's just a movie with a lot of swearing. It has nothing to do with Korean people. People use offensive language all over the world.

You must not have read my post. I have watched a lot of Korean movies and in the subtitles the word "bastard" is used a LOT. Way more than other profanities. Not just in this movie but in many.

No it is not a direct translation. You are probably referring to ssibaloma which means someone you'd like to "ssib" which is an ancient punishment of tearing the limbs apart with horses.

Wow! Brutal!! Thank you.
