Was it just me or did anyone else notice the SEVERE lack of diversity in that church? And in the film as a whole to be honest.
I'm wondering if the GREAT majority of people the directors would have liked to be part of the project...said NO! Just a guess as to why there isn't as much diversity as you would like? That said, on the DVD extra that I think was called "Director's Statement", it read that one of the goals was to not pass judgement. I found this movie to be rather judgemental in that it seemed to pick the most sensationalist things that people said (from I'd guess hours upon hours of footage to choose from) and through soundtrack music that had very melodramatic aspects to it. So if you have filmmakers who are not unbiased, then one way to prove your own point is to make things look as lacking in diversity as possible.
