the writing and dialouge

i've only seen the trailer for the movie, but is the speaking roles and the writing in the same style similar to that mondern day Romeo and Juliet starring DiCaprio where everyone speaks in Old English? (aka Shakespearian)

It's. Shakespeare.

It's written in Modern English (trust me, you'd know if it was Old English) verse.

Shakespeare never wrote in olde-english, he wrote in his own verse. Did you think everyone in England in 1600 actually spoke like Hamlet or Macbeth? That makes me chuckle.
