Conseveratives who think this is a misrepresentation
If you think the "Wall Street", college-educated republicans were under-represented here, remember where the filmakers were. They were not in New York or Chicago. They were in Joeplumberland. And guess what? There are far many more of these nutbags than you would like to believe. You don't need liberals to point them out - the moderate Republicans that care about this representation of their party need to.
And let's look at the educated and well-spoken of this sampling. Oddly one of the most well spoken seems to honestly believe Obama is the AntiChrist. Anyhow, they want to move to Canada, and are 'scared to death' of the future. What is acutally funny is they are saying this with a straight face on the heels of 8 years of Bush. Guess what? Liberals are scared too. Because Obama has inherited a mess of galactic proportions. They thought everything was going just hunky-dory until election night? Please.
And BTW, what did you say when all those Hollywood stars said they'd move if (when) Bush won his second term. I bet you were ridiculing them, too. With a "go ahead and leave, then"! Yes, it was a dumb thing for them to say then, and its a dumb thing to say now.
I can really understand how you can feel that the filmmakers presented a fair amount of the embarassing of your bretheren, but as I said, there are more of these folks than you'd like to admit. But honestly, when I was listening to them, I wasn't thinking party at that time. I was feeling shame and embarrassment for all of us.
So, too bad. Tough. Suck it up and do something to help.
Or laugh. Some of it was really funny. The reaction of the woman to a couple of Obama signs in her neighborhood. It was like she just learned the Ebola virus was let loose next door. "That lesbian couple put out an Obama sign", or whatever she says, with a look of shock on her face. Priceless.
You just have to be resigned-
You're crashing by design
