couldn't make it through one episode

I am so confused that so many people seem to like this show. I watched the first half of the first episode, and to me it was so unfunny and downright inept that I couldn't keep going. The website has many absolutely brilliant pieces, so I really was expecting this to be funny, but this just looks like something a bunch of frat guys threw together. Maybe it gets better, but life is too short to waste on something that starts out so poorly.
