I cant make out from the credits who played his mum? (she probably doesnt want loads od angry fans beating her up)
But what I dont get is that she obviously beat other family members up, (as proved with the grandchildren) so why was she allowed to keep the other children whne social services found out? surely they would have chekced then too?
(especially when hw said she had a mental health record at the end)
Natascha McElhone played the mother. Apparently they had to put extra make up on her to make her look uglier!
They never really explain what happened to the other family members- I guess pretty much what happened to Kevin. Maybe some of them were taken away by child services, and the daughters got married and moved away.
The mum was played by Natascha McElhone, who's a pretty big name in the UK. She's a great actress and she's also drop-dead gorgeous (IMHO), which is probably why you couldn't identify her in the credits since she basically plays a witch!
