The consensus appears to be heading in the direction of: schmaltsy and predictable yet entertaining due to a generally strong script and terrific performances from an outstanding ensemble cast.
sharefemale rights is given good reviews with very little thought usually because either a) it's a woman critic who is either 1)a feminist or at least sympathetic or 2) a non-feminist woman who feels obliged to favour it anyway jsut because she might be treated as some kind of traitor if she doesn't; or B) it's a male critic who is eitehr 1) the PC whipped variety of liberal who wants to score points for themselves and show how good they are, or 2) men who have been fooled into believing that they have to readily accept and give bright reviews for anything that is female positive or else be viewed as sexist and misogynistic if they don't.
Hence, I wouldn't put much stock in those reviews. I find a lot or critics are extrememly unhelpful anyway excepting obvious and universally accepted greatness, like Martin Scorsese films (except maybe Citizen Cain)
