Should I read or does the movie cover it?

I'm a big Tropper fan, so I may not be the best judge. I loved the book. The movie seemed flat and rambling. The cast seemed wasted, or at least they thought so because they all seemed to be sleep walking thru the whole thing.

Read the book. The movie is markedly different in key places, and the book is very good.
