Horry's mum. She lived across the street with Horry.

She was also the recently deceased Mr. Altman's personal nurse.

I was confused about both Linda and Horry for too long into the film, partially because when they showed up at their parents' house, Horry opened the door, and I'm pretty sure Hillary said he was her "son"--at least it sounded like that to me. So at first I was guessing he was another son, then I was guessing that Linda must have been Hillary's sister or sister-in-law, so that Horry was a nephew/cousin, etc. In the scene where Wendy watches Horry taking out the garbage across the street, I was trying to figure out why the heck he was across the street in the first place. Then I thought, "Wait--is the house just situated weird and/or are these edits done oddly, and Wendy is really looking out her window at the driveway of the house she's in?" Then I finally figured out that they were just the neighbors living across the street. They should have made that clearer early on.

JrnlofEddie, I was confused, too. For a good part of the film, I thought Horry (whose name I believed to be Ari) was a cousin and that Wendy's obvious longing for him was a clue to their creepy, secret, incestuous affair. I also theorized his brain injury was the result of a shame-induced suicide attempt. Not unfathomable, considering how inappropriate everyone else was. What a relief that was not the case.
