Narrating from the deceased POV?

I'm sorry but why do this? It never comes off well, just seems amateurish.

Agreed. The part that was really weird was when he says, "if I was still alive, there's three things I'd want to stay" ... or whatever the line is - putting words into a dead man's mouth is a poor production choice for a doc.

Yep, this film and the way it was made is creepy in many ways, this being one of them.

Yeah I don't like the way they stole the victim's voice and narrated as if they knew what he would think.

Cause we needed someone to sympathize with I guess... I think it worked personally, they might have overkilled it a bit with the 'if I could tell my family 3 things' bit but overall I thought it was a good way to tell a story

We crash into each other, just so we can feel something.

I Agee-how did the documentarian know what Brian was thinking? I enjoyed watching it, it was entertaining and easy to watch. However, I think a a more in depth study of the key players would've been more effective.

I believe having an FBI profiler as part of the documentary, giving a well studied assessment, wouldve tied things together better. I would dare to say that Mary and Thomas havesociopathic/narcissistic PDs. The psychologist they used just blabbed on about depression and mid-life crisis. That's too general and those symptoms dont usually lead to murder and deception.
