Ball at the end? (Spoiler Warning)

When they start the wizard challenge and the dad pushes the full wizard power ball on the center podium, where did the magic come from? He's still a full wizard(at the time) and it wasn't his power and it wasn't Justin's or Alex's because they could still do magic? So any guesses or answers?

It's up to you to choose which to think is the case.

It could be parts of Justin, Alex, and Max's power.
The parent can sum up the final magic for the competition.
Or the ball of magic is just a symbol without actual power. And when the winner is decided, powers from the unfortunate just goes to the winner.

And whatever other people can come up with.
