relationship between max and justin

it just seems non existent in the series and the movie. The relationship between Alex and Justin is fine but I have an older brother and Ive been around people who have older brothers so I know what its like, but those 2 dont give off that vibe of brothers at all. Theres no playful fighting or teasting between the 2. A show like Malcolm in the Middle showed that really well but this show doesnt seem to have it

never thought about it before but i cant recall anyh conversation between max and justin.

if anything Justin should be closer to Max than to Alex. Brothers bond more imo. Plus Alex wouldnt want to have anything to do with her brother, because she probably would have her own friends and what not

reply

i dont think u see it cuz alex and justin are too strong, but its there

reply

I havent seen its because its non existent. Ijust think that how Alex messes with Justin, Justin should mess with Max because, really what older brother doesnt pick on his little brother.

reply

yeah i wanna see justin push max down the stairs while max is in a clothes basket, cause what older brother hasn't done that.

There was that whole episode where Justin helps Max with Max's first date. And in Graphic Novel, they steal the diary from Alex. AND there was that episode where Justin makes fun of Max for all the faulty magical items.

Maybe it wasn't there the first season, but it is now. I think they have the kind of relationship whers Justin looks out/hangs out with Max, but Justin also makes fun of him like he does Alex.

A good one

Well, there was a few funny things between them, like in the chocolate-pocket elf episode. Maybe their just two far off in age? Well only 5 years. I'm not sure why; he just seems like he's known as the baby and the one they always pick on. Actually, his whole family is pretty mean to him. I can't believe Jerry was going to give him away, even if it was a joke.

If you listen to DMX the baby comes out goin Ennngghhh.

i agree they should have more of the brotherly relationship. But then again max doesn't really have a relationship with any of his siblings. he's kinda like donny from even stevens. I hope he gets a bigger role in the third season

You're acting like a real Mca$shole

Yeah, reading over this, and it occurred to me that people should be complaining about how little screentime Max gets with Alex. I honestly can't remember a scene with just the two of them together, except maybe a couple of really short ones, like when Alex asks Max to cover for her in the pilot.

As for brothers naturally being closer, I have three older brothers who I am not close to at all. Part of it is age differences and we don't interact with each other but I am closer to my sisters who are closer in age to myself.

So as for Justin, Alex, and Max, Justin and Alex are closer in age so they are going to interact more than either would with Max. But I agree there probably should be some interaction but not as much as with the two older siblings.

The screentime Max and Alex get is really limited, besides the scene you've already said, the only other one I can think of is in 'Beware Wolf' when Justin has left and Max is talking to Alex about a spit race, but I thought this showed Justin and Max had a stronger bond...?

No, I disagree. Justin and Max has a good relationship - or at least shared a few moments on the first season (I haven't seen so much of the second season yet). And they did had a few moments in the movie too, but I agree that the serie and the movie focuse more on Alex and Justin's relationship, which leaves Max a little bit behind. And it's a bad thing.

They do have a good relationship. There was also the episode where they do the prank mail thing, plus they seem to spend time together. Also in the episode where Max becomes Maximan, Justin hurries up to find Alex and help Max with the "thief".

because justin is too proud and max is too dumb... they don't get along well... heehee
