Like whatever the origional intention for making this movie was drastically changed by the time it was finished. I would be very surprised if there weren't unrelated scripts involved somewhere, either.

Please don't explain the dissimilarities between this and MD. I get that, I'm simply saying this movie seems like a salvage of something intended to be much different.
