Leelee Sobieski....movie will suck

As soon as I saw her name on this, I knew it would suck. She's a horrible actress and by definition if she's cast in a movie, it indicates an awful script.

Only an awful script would make someone as unappealing as her be in the running for a part, let alone GET a part.

Hate this if you like, but I speak the truth. Yes, it is possible she could somehow improve or be right for this role, but I wouldn't take those odds.

Kubrick cast her in Eyes Wide Shut, so uh, my hair is a bird.

Maybe Kubrick realized Leelee has a 'Beautiful Mind'.

I probably would have not seen it or would have left early if she wasn't in it.

I for one, like her stuff. Though she is no Oscar winner, that's for sure. By the way, is she the one upside down in the water tank? I couldn't tell from the photo or trailer.

I feel sorry for your impoverished sensibilities which put everything on the actor. In case you have been living under a rock for 50 years, actors are actually the best part of movies nowadays. It's the writing and scripts, and sometimes the direction that sucks. This is why so many high-profile actors are working in tv now--because it's so competitive to be in movies. Because most all Hollywood actors you've ever heard of are serious professionals, much better than most actors out there. So whenever someone complains about actors, they appear ignorant of the other factors that make up a movie: writing, casting, script, direction, music, costumes, set design, cinematography, special effects..to make an intelligent comment about actually why a movie might not be compelling. This is because most people can recognize actors, and so they are easy targets when the movie is bad. I just got done watching the Oscar-winning "Lincoln", which I thought was a total snooze-fest! But did I blame Daniel Day-Lewis? Heck no, he's great. This movie was much more interesting than Lincoln. And the script was pretty good, I thought--lots of sharp things were said; it was an intelligent script, not full of cliches or fluffy banter.

As for Sobieski, she was great in Night Train, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Get Out!
That is my future wife you are talking about... and she's one of the only reasons I managed to keep watching :P

I just wish she would go by her pretty real name Liliane rather than LeeLee. She is an adult now.

I really wanted to hurt, mutilate, torture, kill and dismember her character Abby. God, the scene in the car, where she's chewing gum -ugghh, i simply can't stand cows like her.

If a chainsaw would've come outta nowhere and chopped off her head, i'd rate that flick higher than The Godfather!

*beep* disgusting gum chewing crack wh0re...

Nice tits though.

reply

You were right... she is terrible.

And I can't think of a movie I've seen that she was good in.

The Doctor is out. Far out.

She looks very similar to Helen Hunt in some ways, and she's acts about the same to.
