Its sad because the main bad guy *spoilers*

got to **** the girl. And the main character didn't even get a kiss.

That felt like a mis-step to me too, on the screenwriter's part. The hero really should have been able to save the girl before she got raped, not after. Because as it is, it feels like the villain wins, since that was his primary goal towards the girl all along.

I was shocked by this as well but I thought it suited the film. I found it to be ironic & poignant at the same time. Besides, I think it's assumed she will end up with the smart brother, if she was with Yuda, it would've been to complicated I think.

He saved the girl like 4 times before she was raped. She just LOVES being kidnapped.

Apparently she does - why didn't she just hide in the corner with her brother, "there's only room enough for one" - wtf? There was plenty of space, she just wanted to be caught, raped and rescued again... and when he got her out of the freight-container at the end, she didn't seem too thrilled about it, and just sat on the floor sulking, while all the other girls quickly ran for it! :P

The villain raping her, was to make us hate him more. We really want Iko to kick his ass (and his right hand man)

That's a tired revenge trope in films---a woman shouldn't have to go through all that. If a woman had written the film, it would be a lot different.
