Let me MANsplain the appeal of the character, Boba Fett

I keep seeing over and over newbs and SW haters saying they never understood why Boba Fett is so liked. These are some of the reasons...

1. Boba Fett was the 1st ESB Kenner action figure available BEFORE the movie came out so the excitement for ESB, the 1st SW sequel, is connected strongly to him. Ya kinda had to be there to really "get it."

2.His costume is awesome

3.His cartoon was the only good part of the SW Holiday Special

4.In ESB he seemed powerful and mysterious and the only character unafraid of Vader

5.Slave 1 is an awesome ship

You're welcome

reply

Disagree on all points and if you play with Star Wars figures, surely you cannot be taken seriously

reply

Piss off, troll bitch.

reply

Go play with your Boba Fett toy. Your reasons stated above is one of the silliest comments I ever read on here. I'm still laughing over the toy comment you made

reply

You're clearly either too dumb to understand the reasons stated above or you're just trolling. Either way, piss off.

reply

The overwhelming majority of viewers of this show don't have the Boba Fett toy. You are one of the few

reply

But the creators behind the show had. Bobafett became a cult figure among those who where kids/teens when the orignal trilogy came out. Bobafett toy catapulted the guy into cult fame and a lot of fan fiction was written about him. Mostly because he was a blank slate you could create your own story around.
The generations coming after got influenced by this.

reply

I really doubt the creators of this show play with boba fett toys. By the way, there was probably hundreds of different toy characters from the OT Star Wars movies. In no way did a boba fett toy character stand out among the rest

reply

1. So? I don't play with stupid toys, certainly not action figures.

2. So are many in Star Wars, and the Mandalorian.

3. I tend not to bother with the SW Holiday Special AT ALL, for some reason(!)

4. Vader still ordered him around: "No disintegrations!" I mean, telling him off like a wayward child.

5. It can't be, it looks lopsided and there's not enough height clearance for his helmet! Awesome ship, MY ASS.

Now let me tell you my two cents:

The Fetts only appear to look intimidating but then get their asses kicked later on, by both Jedi and their friends (and the one who knocked Boba out was half-blind at the time!!)

Your newb ignorance is noted.

Big fuckin' deal!!

1. No one today lived through that time. Their version is Mary Rey Sue.

2. His costume doens't fit him no more.

3. No one today lived through that time.

4. Yeah, well, he now takes off his mystery every chance he gets so out goes the mystique and power.

5. Not Slave 1 no more. It's the Firespray now.

reply

1.) Yes, absolutely! Everyone that saw Star Wars in 1977 has died. All of those 20 somethings, well they're 60 somethings now, and have died. All of those teen aged somethings, well they're 50 something now, and have died. All of those pre-teen aged somethings, well they're 40 somethings now, and have died. And good riddance to all of them- they were dumb anyway.

2.) He simply became more buff, and hasn't been able to get to a Femalorian in order to make him a new outfit like that Din guy did. Don't be jealous because someone is more buff than you, and worked out harder. It's like totally genetics- if you work out hard your muscles will like grow, and stuff, and you'll need new attire.

3.) Yeah, way back in 1977 they like hardly had sight, and sound in pictures, and those people were all stupid, and died off. They probably died from covid.

4.) What a dummy. He should keep that helmet on all of the time. It's much more macho, and chicks dig a guy in iron clad attire.

5.) To even use the word Slavery in a sentence is offensive! The old movies should either be heavily edited or straight up banned from ever being shown again.

This is the Way!

reply

haha what? how old are you kid?

reply

I liked him for these reasons:

1. Cool weaponry on his costume ex. wrist rockets; fire launcher. Also ability to fly.

2. Bad ass voice and walk. "What about the reward money? He's no good to me dead. "

3. Never feared Vader. Stands-up to him.

I believe less is more. They shouldn't have revived him.

reply

i agree.
he should've been left in the desert.. where he got ate.

it's like the mystery behind the space jockey in the Alien universe......... new films just shat all over it.
