So is the "large blood spurt" as the BBFC site describes the cut scene present in the US PG13 version?

It will be. I've heard nothing about the US version being cut.

This film was originally seen for advice. The company was advised that the film was likely to receive a '15' classification but that their preferred '12A' could be achieved by making cuts in two scenes, to reduce a focus on injury in one scene and to remove a large blood spurt in another. When the film was submitted for formal classification, these changes had been made and the film was classified '12A'.

The movie seems uncut when I saw it today. (The Netherlands)
There's a few bloody squibs near the end. I believe Sigourney Weaver says the word *beep* once, but it seemed kinda muffled by additional sounds from the surroundings.
I can't recall seeing the wound zoomed in, but you can clearly see a bullet wound.
Closing the wound barbarically is offscreen though.

CHRONICLE was cut as well.

It's not madness just studios wanting to maximise their financial returns.

Add Chronicle too that list

If Chronicle was cut it was done by the distributor prior to submission because the BBFC website states that no cuts were made:

It was cut by the distributor in post-production:

If a movie is cut in any way, it usually states this on the website, however there are some exceptions to this (Pineapple Express, Percy Jackson, the remake of The Karate Kid, although those were all mentioned in the BBFC's annual reports).

The best thing they could have done with this film was cut about 99.9% of it's 'content' out.

I think it should have been completely banned on both sides of the Atlantic, on grounds of insulting the viewer, with Bruce Willis & Sigourney Weaver as accessories before the act. Was it written in the Mossad's Department of Cultural Propaganda? If so, they should find some better writers.
