I thought the acting was great, but the subject matter itself was pretty twisted.

Not to mention Brain Cox,who is in fact Scottish.His portrayal of an Englishman just made the whole thing worse.
If you want to see Tom Hardy in something great,watch Inception and/or RocknRolla.I've only seen parts of RocknRolla,but man he is hilarious in that movie!!!
Yes Tom Hardy is a great actor,but he can only do so much with the material he's given.And when you give a great actor garbage(like the script for this show),it's bound to be a flop.

I thought they all did a good job in this. Freddy was supposed to be over the top. I found the character annoying, but I thought Hardy did a good job portraying him. It wasn't my favorite performance of his, but I enjoyed it.
I wanted to stop watching after the 2nd episode because the things that went on were so twisted, but I wanted to see how it ended and I'd already gotten the 2nd disc in the mail from Netflix, so I watched the final two. I'll never watch it again though.
I only watched up to the point where Maggie kills Freddie.I also saw the parts where they find lil' Jimmy dead and Freddie tells Jimmy about it and tries to hide his son somewhere.
What happens AFTER that?
