Anyway, sequel. . . I think it's a possibility but not guaranteed. Kind of a borderlined case.

Tomb Raider made $273 million, but only $57 million of that was made domestically, where the studio takes a much larger cut of box office receipts. Still, it may get a sequel based on the strength of its international performance, though it wouldn't surprise me if the next film has a lower budget.

Personally, I was really looking forward to the movie but then ended up disappointed by what I thought was a pretty lackluster affair. It just felt really generic to me overall. Even though the original Tomb Raider with Angelina Jolie was a bit of a mess, I think that one is a more entertaining film.

I'd rather see a reboot based on the original 90's Lara Croft, I like the new games but they already have a cinematic feel to them, with much better stories than this film but a reboot could improve upon the older adventures rather than be half baked adaptions of the newer Tomb Raider games.

If they make another they need to get the casting right, I'd love for one Tomb Raider movie to be set in Egypt.
